Q Who Are You?
A I am LiaStarr aka NattieBeatz aka the “3.9 GPA Stoner.” A self-made, self-taught rapper/musician, music producer, and mix engineer prodigy.
Q Where Are You From?
A I am from East Atlanta, Decatur, Georgia.
Q The Name Of Your Current Project?
A My mixtape is called, It Is What It Is, and is available on all streaming platforms.
Q Describe Your Genre’
A I would describe my genre as Southern rap/hip hop with a chill Indie vibe.
Q Who Are Your Musical Influences?
A This is always a hard question for me because I am a huge music lover and I have so many favorites. My biggest influences, however, would have to be Tupac, Mc Lyte, OutKast, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Biggie, and so many more!
Q What Inspires You To Write Music?
A I have always had a love for writing stories, journaling, and poetry. I love incorporating my daily thoughts and experiences into my songwriting by telling it as a story or catchy mantra. I also am inspired by my mother and late-grandfather who were singers and a musician.
Q Where Do You See Yourself In 5 Years?
A In five years, I see myself successfully building my brand as an artist and entrepreneur for my music productions. I see success and happiness in my journey as an artist from the overwhelming amount of opportunities to the abundant amount of wealth for myself and my family.
Q When Do Your Creative Ideas Usually Come To You?
A I am a chill, laid-back person, so when I write my music it’s my time to think freely aloud and artistically speak my mind without any remorse. I also, at times, tell stories about people who I’ve encountered or manifestations I’ve dreamt up as a child.
Q What are some of your past projects & how did they benefit you?
A The first singles I released, Snap Outta It, and, I Got, were my debuts as an independent rapper and producer. The projects helped teach me a lot through experience by single-handily producing, mixing, mastering, and releasing my own projects. I also taught myself to edit my covers and freestyle videos.
Q Which one of YOUR songs is YOUR favorite & why?
A My personal favorites are ‘Move B—’ and ‘Siracha’s Intro’ because these are my pretty girl songs, which I make for all my baddies to have fun and feel confident like the queens we are.
Q Where Can Your Music Be Found?
A My mixtape and singles are available on all streaming platforms, such as Apple Music, Spotify, Soundcloud, YouTube, etc.
Q What’s Next???
A I am currently working on my next mixtape, which I will be releasing late this Spring. I also have new visuals and promotion coming, and I will continue my journey to the world’s hearts.
