Q. Who Are You?
A. I am an aspiring free thinker on a journey towards self discovery. I use art as my vehicle.
Q. Where Are You From?
A. I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. I moved to Chicago when I was 17 years old. Dallas raised, Chicago made.
Q. Describe Your Genre’
A. I would describe my current sound as a blend between classic hip hop and new age rap.
My ultimate goal is to create a new sub genre of hip hop. Recently I’ve been experimenting with psychedelic funk, punk and shamanic instrumentation.
Q. Who Are Your Musical Influences?
A. Off the top of my head: Sun Ra, Badu, Alice Coltrane, Solange, Lauryn Hill, UGK.My dad, Uncle Buxx is also a huge influence.
Q. What Inspires You To Write Music?
A. Writing songs has always been my thing. I like to use my music to communicate with the parts of myself that I’m not always conscious of. I draw inspiration from life and death.
Q. Title of your main single ?
A. My single is titled “Eve Gene”. I really wanted to make a song that embodied the chaotic feminine principe of God. Genetically speaking, we are all descendants of a woman that is referred to as the Mitochondrial Eve. She’s our common ancestor and this song is an ode to her.
Q. When Do Your Creative Ideas Usually Come To You?
A. My creative ideas usually come to me while I’m in solitude, which is often. Sometimes, I get a spark of inspiration from something I read or a funny conversation with a loved one.
Q. What are some of your past projects & how did they benefit you?
A. I’ve released one EP so far. It’s called Chapter Zero: The Lost Files and it’s a compilation of a several songs that I wrote and recorded between 2017 and 2019. One day, I got sick of the songs just sitting on my computer collecting dust and we put the EP out a few days later.  For me, that was the first step in solidifying myself as a music professional.
Q. Which one of YOUR songs is YOUR favorite & why?
A. That’s a tough question! It’s changes day to day but right now my favorite song is called “The Other Side” prod. by LoneStarr.
Q. What’s your favorite restaurant & Why?
A. My favorite restaurant is called Casa Del Vegano. It’s a black owned vegan tex-mex restaurant in Oak Cliff. I’m not 100% vegan right now but I try to eat on the healthy side. They got some bomb vegan Birria enchiladas.
Q. Things you like to do for fun ?
A. Anything spontaneous! I get a real kick out of doing anything I’ve never done before.
Q. What’s your favorite movie ?
A. Hmmm, It’s a tie between Love Jones and Crooklyn.
