Get to Know Luis Alé

Q. Who Are You?

A. I am Luis Alé , (ah-leh), short for my full name Luis Alejandro! I go by Alex and VGA too. I have always had many names. But I am an artist, engineer, producer, DJ and songwriter. I do it all; music is in my blood! Son of an immigrant father, and hard working mother who gave their life to make sure I was raised right. Shout out to them!

Q. Where Are You From?

A. So Cal. Moved around a lot. Born in Burbank, then the valley, Palmdale, 805, and now in

LA. I am half Mexican-American and Nicaraguan.

Q. Describe Your Genre’

A. I’ve worked hard on developing my sound and it’s always evolving. But I would say it’s a very Latin, sensual, R&B/Island-y mix…sort of thing. But I can also rap which only a couple people know about. I try to mix that in when I want. For the most part my vocals are melodic, very catchy, and relatable. All about that hook.

Q. Who Are Your Musical Influences?

A. Some of the first music I listened to around the house while cleaning was like Luis Miguel, Celia Cruz, Frankie Ruiz…a bunch of Latin artists from the 70s-90s. My pops would sing around the house, my aunts and grandma would dance. On my moms side it was SWV, Usher, Motown, and worship music. Gotta give it up to my very musical family for the influence.

Q. What Inspires You To Write Music?

A. I think what inspires me the most is the idea of sharing my real life emotions with an audience and it connects so much that they A) cant get it out their head or B) have a real emotional reaction. Also being on the mic and creating puts me in a place of euphoria and I love painting pictures in music form.

Q. Title of your main single ?

A.

“ My main I guess would be M.I.A., released in July 2025. It has gotten the most support and love, and is the catchiest. But people really love all my singles.

Q. When Do Your Creative Ideas Usually Come To You?

A. Sheeesh at the gym mostly or at work unfortunately lol! I say that because I’ve lost so many ideas at work not being able to capture it in the moment then I forget. I am getting better at whipping out the voice memos or a paper though. Going to parties/shows sometimes inspires me too.

Q. What are some of your past projects & how did they benefit you?

A. I started as an engineer and mixer, so I have done projects for artists like Auzi Taylor and StealthR, some really dope creators and friends. Auzi rocked with me from the very jump and helped me get some motion, and StealthR has put me in rooms with legendary engineers and creators, and does really good business as well!

Q. Which one of YOUR songs is YOUR favorite & why?

A. This is a hard question! But…if I had to pick ONE…I think its M.I.A.. Why? The way it was made, shout out to the producer Boogie Got Beats and co-writer Keyvous. Aside from being great men, they just really helped lock in the vibe on that one. Me and Key heard the beat and were taken aback, but we knew we had to deliver, and we did. Before we were talking about relationships and women and how to navigate in this music life we live. Then a hit was made.

Q. Where Do You See Yourself In 5 Years?

A. In 5 years I want to have a few major events and shows under my belt. Thousands of people; and having opened for major artists like Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro, Wizkid, Ayra Starr, Malums, Kali Uchis, all them. I see myself writing for major artists at that point as well. I know I have what it takes.

Q. What’s your favorite restaurant & Why?

A. Man I have been cooking more recently but I love Mastros Ocean Club in Malibu; always an amazing experience. For something quick though I love Jersey Mikes and hole in the

wall spots. Not too picky.

Q. Things you like to do for fun ?

A. I love working out, making content, going to concerts, bars, events, and different cities with my loved ones and friends. I like playing basketball, golf, and as of lately soccer at work.

Q. What’s your favorite movie ?

A. I don’t really have one to be honest. I think Nightmare Before Christmas is up there though..Tim Burton films. I like the Jordan Peele movies too. Not a huge movie buff, but I go to the movies a lot
