Get to Know Myara Monroe

Q. Who Are You?

A. Hey Hello my name is Myara Monroe. I am the second oldest of seven siblings and I love the colour pink. I have always grew up around music, my mother made music when I was child and so did my stepfather. I learned how to make beats on a BR900x when I was 7 years old. A certain time in my life led me to run away from being a singer and hide my love for singing and making music. I grew up in foster care as an adolescent where I didn’t have the support or space to create and be myself. I grew accustomed to trying to fit into narratives that were never really meant for me. On December 14, 2022 I told myself that I wanted to start making music, I wanted to start taking my singing career seriously. I spent a lot of time learning how to mix my music, record my music, and even heighten my vocal abilities through vocal training and warm ups. I believe I have grown a lot in the last couple of years and yet I still have so much more to learn.

Q. Where Are You From?

A. I was born in Inglewood Ca and was raised in Arkansas, Texas, and Georgia as a kid. I moved back 2 California when I was 11 and resided in Victorville Ca. till I graduated and moved 2 the I.E. for a few years to finish my Associates degree in Psychology. I now reside in Los Angeles Ca working on my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at California State University Northridge.

Q. When Do Your Creative Ideas Usually Come To You?
