Q. What’s your favorite restaurant & Why?
A. I am a foodie, so honestly I don’t have a favorite restaurant chain. I enjoy to go to new restaurants in new places, I also enjoy to cook myself, to create new recipes and also some of my favorites. Rather a fast food or sit down restaurant, please believe if it’s food there you will find Fane!
Q. When Do Your Creative Ideas Usually Come To You?
A. As a father of four my life never stops! Most of my creative ideas come to me while doing the dishes, cooking dinner for my family, or late at night when I get those few hours to myself. A lot of the time I never get to write down a full song or idea at one time. Usually I listen to the beat and freestyle a certain rhyme cadence so many times to myself that by the time I get to the studio I just have to punch in the words for the cadence I have been freestyling in my head for weeks.
Q. What are some of your past projects & how did they benefit you?
A. True story, I recorded my first project in the 8th grade with my neighborhood friends and some kids from school! All original production made by us, original lyrics wrote by us, recorded mixed and mastered by us, even did the art work ourselves! We printed up 100+ tapes and sold everyone of them at our school and in the neighborhood! That opened the door for me to purchase my own studio and always be able to record. I spent years mastering my craft, Learning my sound and how to be the best Fane possible, eventually got signed to an local independent company, to where I’m at now 15+ projects I’ve been apart of, with my own independent label with a chance to make my contribution to hip-hop! All of my projects has leveled me up as an individual and as an artist.
Q. Which one of YOUR songs is YOUR favorite & why?
A. Without a doubt Lucy‘s letter (4ever My Lady) is my favorite and arguably best song I’ve ever wrote! I have four kids with two different Women, in my relationship with her mother specifically has always been a pretty rocky one. My daughter seen me at my very lowest and watched me bounce back to my very highest, & loved me the same through all and in between, The least I could do is leave her something with my voice expressing how I feel about her that she can keep for eternity!
