GET TO KNOW Ax2

Q. Who Are You?

A. I am Aristotle Abraham II – Ax2.  I am a student athlete (LSU Football), a rapper, an actor, an entertainer, a leader, a role model, a hard worker, an introvert, disciplined, a team player, a comforter, illumination, positive, and confident young man.  I am also apart of the Ice Cold Fraternity of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

Q. Where Are You From?

A. I am from Dallas Texas

Q. Describe Your Genre’

A. I am my own genre of music.  I do hip hop but I am versatile in plenty of other genres.  I have done R&B tracks, Country, Pop, Christian Hip Hop, and even Latin music.  I am just an entertainer.  I am an Artist.  No label on me, just an artist who loves music

Q. Who Are Your Musical Influences?

A. I am inspired by a plethora of artists but for the sake of space and time I am going to mention my top three artists.  Lil Wayne is the first one.  Lil Wayne is probably my favorite artist of all time.  His word play plus his similes and metaphors are just so unique and most of the time they go over your head and it takes a couple of listens for the bars to actually hit you and you understand.  He motivates me to become a better writer and make each line have substance in my songs.  Another is Drake.  Drake was the artist of the decade so it would be crazy for me to not mention his name as an influencer.  Drake’s versatility and longevity is something I aspire to have.  In my opinion he is the golden image of what a rapper should be.  Word play, flow, versatility, dances, connection with fans, and the list goes on. He’s definitely on my Mount Rushmore.  Last but not least on this list I am going to add Chris Brown.  One of the main things I love about bro is everytime he hits the stage he is guaranteed to deliver an amazing show.  That is one thing that I feel truly separates me from a lot of rappers: the ability to perform.

Q. What Inspires You To Write Music?

A. What inspires me to make music is whatever is going on in my life that is affecting me and whatever vibe I am feeling.  I’ve tried to transition my music from just saying whatever and trying to start adding substance in my lyrics so I have truly been connecting with myself and allowing myself to be vulnerable to where I can feel my music so therefore others will feel my music.  A turnt song, dance song, sad song, no matter what it is I want them to be able to feel my emotion and connect with me.

Q. Title of your main single ?

A.   Right now we pushing “I Been Official” It is a turnt song and the video was crazy.  The energy for the video was crazy nice and we had a lot of fun shooting it.  – I Been Official videoBut we got new music on the way!!!

Q. When Do Your Creative Ideas Usually Come To You?

A. I feel creativity is random.  My mind never stops thinking and there can be times where I am doing literally anything: a hard bar or an idea of a song pops up in my head and I immediately gotta write it down to make sure I remember and do not lose that thought or I’d be sick!  I honestly feel that when the creativity comes to you it flows better and the song comes out harder because you feel it more and it means something more.

 Q. What are some of your past projects & how did they benefit you?

A. I gotta say they all benefitted me whether it was a commercial, movie, or music.  They all help me move forward to the next step and they all work together if you ask me.  I called them building blocks.  My first commercial (Twix) led to another commercial and then a movie and the song we did for the Dallas Mavericks Maniaacs led us to doing the song/video for the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blues Dancers.  Your hard work and grind is going to pay off.  You just got to be consistent and keep putting in work.  That is what we do.  Me and my sister Dejah Dej and my pops always putting in work and our music catalog is crazy with hard drives full of unreleased music.
Q. Which one of YOUR songs is YOUR favorite & why?

A. The song that is currently released that is my favorite is “That’s Me” it is my favorite because it brings a comforting vibe, it is relatable, it’s catchy, and everything in it from start to finish is just ooweee you gotta check it out to understand for real.  https://youtu.be/ZQYa4qohX9A?si=h46uWJPDUXMe2UBH

Q. Where Do You See Yourself In 5 Years?

A.   I don’t really like answering this question because I do not like trying to look into the future because I can’t see my future.  The only thing I can see is where my  feet are at every exact moment.  I feel as if I am focused on my future.  I am missing time in my present that could better my future from my current situation because my present is my future because I am in control of my life.  Yes God has everything planned out of my life but I am in control of my actions so I just try to focus on being in the present so my future is bright.

Q. What’s your favorite restaurant & Why?

A. I really do not have a favorite restaurant because I love to eat, so almost any restaurant is my favorite.  I get happy when I get food!  I am not a picky person so yes I am one of those who do not have a spot in mind when someone asks where you wanna eat at because I can eat anywhere and be happy because I love food!

Q. Things you like to do for fun ?

A. There Are plenty of things I do for fun but imma just list three.  Things I do for fun are playing video games.  Playing the PS5 game is honestly my safe place.  Other than music it is my escape from the real world and it is where I can just be and just vibe and of course all I do is win cause I’m that guy.  Madden, 2k, COD, it is good this way.  Working out is also another fun aspect for me.  It is something about destroying your body to build it back up in the image that you wanna love when you look in the mirror is just a journey that is very inspirational to me and something that just makes me feel great.  Last but not least, playing sports.  Sports have been a part of my life since I was able to walk so of course they will always be something I will do for fun.  I am competitive so the sport’s nature, the atmosphere, and everything involving it is just exhilarating.

Q. What’s your favorite movie ?

A. My favorite movie is most definitely Stomp the yard.  I am almost to the point where I can say the movie bar for bar adlib to adlib.  Everything about the movie is just a masterpiece to me.  It gets me turnt, it makes me motivated, it just does everything for me and I can watch it over and over and never get annoyed with it.
